Many decide their next destination based on photos on social networks, movies, books, recommendations from friends or lists of experts, but what defines that a place is within the most beautiful in the world?
According to Forbes, “a new study by website money.co.uk aims to rank the world’s 50 most beautiful countries by analyzing the number of natural wonders in each place, from coral reefs and rainforests to volcanoes, glaciers and more”, and, in the top three is Colombiaobtaining a score of 7.16 out of 10 on the natural beauty scale.
“Like Indonesia and New Zealand, Colombia has a long coastline. It also has varied landscapes, from the Amazon to the Andesreads in the Forbes article that shares the list of the 50 destinations and highlights the wonders that Colombia has, located in third place on the list.
“Here’s a look at the places in the world that are home to the most natural sights per 100,000 square kilometers, such as mountains, volcanoes, coral reefs and more,” says the editor’s article Salman Haqqui, on the website.

According to the ranking, the most beautiful place in the world is Indonesia, which has a natural beauty score of 7.77 out of 10. Indonesia is home to more than 17,000 islands. “And just off the shores of these islands, you’ll find more than 31,000 square miles of coral reefs, teeming with life, many of which can be explored from the popular province of Bali,” says Haqqi.
“New Zealand (7.27 out of 10) is home to rolling hills, jagged mountain peaks (including the Southern Alps), and a number of active volcanoes. The country also has a high number of glaciers, with just over 5,000 per 100,000 square kilometers and an extensive coastline of more than 15,000 square kilometers. With a very diverse landscape, thousands of people come to this country to experience its natural wonders for themselves”, reads the website about the second country on the list that gets travelers to start planning their next vacation.
