Since the end of 2020, researchers from the Dijin de la Policeman received information about alias ‘Gucci’, a notorious drug trafficker on the north coast of Colombia, allegedly from the Republic of Kosovo, who turned out to be one of the most wanted criminals in Europe.
“Alias ’Gucci’, alleged drug trafficker of Albanian nationality, one of the most wanted in that country and Europe, was required by Interpol red notice“, detailed Colonel Olga Salazar, director of the Dijín of the Police.
A special team of investigators began the follow-up, but every time they approached the criminal’s trail, it disappeared because “every month the place of residence is changing. It was like this for about 7 months until we arrived at an apartment in Barranquilla,” revealed a Police Dijin investigator.
For a week, alias ‘Gucci’ didn’t even come out the window, until finally they managed to record it and a tattoo on the left arm made it possible to identify it.
But when he was captured, according to the Dijín investigator, he told the uniformed men “that something could happen to the people who used force to extradite him, like a threat. Besides, he spoke with people in Romania and Albania, where he said that he paid any money so that they would not extradite him.”
Colonel Salazar explained that “alias ‘Gucci’ is accused of being a financial partner of the Los Pachenca criminal group, which commits crimes on the north coast of Colombia. He is required for the crimes of criminal association, drug trafficking, human trafficking, use and illegal possession of firearms.
The offender is being held in a high-security prison in Bogotá while the procedures for his respective extradition are completed.
